Within a rim, citing Shah Alam II (AH 1173-1221 / AD 1759-1806) in the couplet ‘sekke zad bar haft keshvar sāye-ye fazl-e elāh / hāmi-ye din-e Mohammad Shāh Ālam Pādeshāh’ (‘The supporter of the religion of Muhammad, Shah Alam Padeshah, the shadow of God’s grace, struck coins in the seven climes’ in Persian); crescent in center. Rev. Within a rim, ‘zarb-e Farrokhābād sane-ye 45 jolus-e meymanat maʾnus’ (‘Struck in Farrukhabad, in the year 45 of the prosperous reign’ in Persian). KM 78. Nicely toned. In NGC encapsulation, graded MS 63. Only five examples graded higher. Good extremely fine.
